Non-profit Organizations

The UN Association of Finland is a non-governmental organization that promotes and supports the work and principles of the United Nations. As the world’s largest peace organization, the UN advances human rights, sustainable development, and global peace and security. The UN Association of Finland works toward these same goals through its own information, education, and advocacy activities.

Taksvärkki ry (Operation Day Work Finland) is a non-governmental organization that improves the living conditions and human rights of children and youth in developing countries through its development projects, while encouraging Finnish youth toward global solidarity through international education.

Disability Partnership Finland (FIDIDA ry) is a cooperative organization formed by six Finnish disability NGOs, facilitating collaboration between disability advocates in the Global South and North to realize human rights for persons with disabilities. Funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the program coordinates member development projects along with FIDIDA’s development and disability policy initiatives.

Caritas Finland is a relief and development organization dedicated to respecting human dignity, reducing inequality, and promoting equal and just societies.

The Abilis Foundation is a Finnish organization that finances grassroots initiatives run by people with disabilities in developing countries. Through project funding, the foundation supports education, employment, and human rights, empowering beneficiaries as the true leaders of their projects. Its primary funder is the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

The KIOS Foundation is a joint initiative of eleven Finnish human rights and development organizations founded in 1998. It serves as a direct funding channel for human rights projects in developing countries, strengthening human rights awareness and civic space.

Colores – The Colorectal Cancer Association of Finland provides peer support and expert information for colorectal cancer patients and their loved ones, standing as the only dedicated colorectal cancer patient organization in Finland.
